Meet Melanie
Melanie is our Senior Wedding Manager and also owns Bellissimo Weddings which is a local, award-winning wedding planning and venue management business. She has over 15 years experience in planning and managing weddings and is regarded as one of the South’s leading Wedding Planners. Melanie worked with Came initially in her consultancy capacity to help launch it as a venue and has stayed on board ever since to look after weddings.

Meet Danielle
Danielle is our second Wedding Manager here at Came and has been part of the Came wedding journey since it began. She has worked for Bellissimo Weddings for over 8 years and has been working with Came House for the last 5 years.
Rags & George
Rags and George live at Came and welcome you and your loved ones with open arms. You are invited to treat their home as yours for your wedding weekend. You might even find them making you breakfast during your stay!
Ju
Our treasured House Manager. You will meet Ju on Friday when you arrive and she will be with you throughout your weekend. Ju is a hugely integral part of Came and our weddings and you will see her friendly face throughout your stay.
Skinner
Our “Everything Man”. You will see him throughout your weekend. From greeting you and your guests on arrival and helping with luggage, to assisting Melanie and Danielle with everything they need on your wedding day, Skinner is your man and nothing is too much trouble for him.

Meet DOUGAL
Dougal is our resident weeping beech tree. He is such an important part of the gardens here at Came and couples have a real love for him. Here are some facts about Dougal and how you can incorporate your love of Dougal into your wedding.
You can tell all the seasons of the year by his little habitat..first the snowdrops, then the primroses and then he buds up and bursts into the lime green canopy that darkens during the summer before shedding his leaves in the autumn.
Facts about Dougal
He is a weeping beech, and was planted c1890
Dougal used to be taller but was struck by lightening when the current owner’s mother was a child.
Dougal is one of the largest of his kind in the country
Named Dougal after the dog with the long hair in The Magic Roundabout – every great tree has to have a name – right?!
