Came House has been in the safe hands of Bellissimo weddings since before launch as a new and exciting wedding venue– back in 2016/2017. Bellissimo worked closely with Came House to help with the launch as a wedding venue and have stayed firmly on board ever since to manage the weddings here. As national award winning Wedding Planners, Melanie and her team are experts in their field and know Came inside out. When you book your wedding at Came, one of the Bellissimo team will be assigned to guide you through your wedding at Came as a Venue Manager / Co-ordinator. A lot of Came couples also feel they would love to add further time and support from Bellissimo Weddings and appoint them as their full planners and we welcome this at Came House. Couples may be time short because of demanding jobs or family (or both) or may be located out of the area or overseas. Melanie and her team have been in business for over 16 years and can bring a sense of calm and organisation to your plans with their full planning and design service - so allow them to take away the stress and worry of your plans and leave you to just enjoy the journey. They are extremely well connected with the best suppliers in the area so they can help you to create your dream team of suppliers to suit your wedding and you as a couple.

Our primary goal as a whole team is to ensure you have the most relaxed, exclusive experience for the whole weekend you and your guests are with us at Came House. We have put together a handy guide for the weekend, so you can see a glimpse of what your wedding weekend will look like.

- Try working with suppliers who are conscious about their environmental impact – ask them what they are doing to be more environmentally friendly.
- With candles – look at recycling your leftover candles with a company who re-uses them to make new candles.
- Consider using companies who hire goods rather than single use for your wedding – such as silk or dried flowers, table décor hire, or maybe your wedding day signage. Why not have a sign writer write on mirrors or boards and then they can be re-used again and again!
- Consider sending your Save the Dates digitally rather than printed – or maybe even your main invitation!
- Supply your venue with your table water in glass rather than plastic and your venue can then recycle the glass
Host Your Sustainable Wedding at Came House
- You will find tap water in all the bedrooms on arrival so that we are not wasting packaging with bottled water.
- We take care of recycling all of your glass bottle waste and cardboard waste after your wedding.
- We encourage couples to only supply water for the table in glass which we can recycle or hire in jugs or carafes and serve ice tap water instead.
- When selecting suppliers to recommend and work with, we are very conscious of working with suppliers who are committed to their positive environmental impact. For example – working with florists who aim not to send waste to landfill but instead try to compost and recycle and work with re-useable materials such as chicken wire.
- We strive to reduce food waste and request that all caterers leave their food waste for us at the end of all weddings – and we use this to feed Came chickens!
